About The Project
Division 15's scope of work included installing distribution piping and constructing energy transfer stations to expand the existing South-East False Creek (SEFC) Neighbourhood Energy Utility (NEU) buried distribution piping that connected nine new buildings.
This project saw the fabrication of Division 15’s first skid-mounted ETS system, which was constructed at Division 15’s fabrication facility and shipped as a complete package for installation.
Division 15 connected new buildings to South East False Creek's Neighbourhood Energy Utility (NEU) by extending the distribution network piping through building parkades and tying into the building Energy Transfer Station (ETS), complete with system shutdown in coordination with NEU operation staff. The distribution piping system project consisted of the installation of an underground network of pre-insulated thin-walled steel pipes, as well as parkade piping running to each building’s mechanical room.
The Energy Transfer Station (ETS) portion of the project consisted of the fabrication of nine energy transfer stations, providing heat to new residential and institutional developments. This project saw the fabrication of Division 15’s first skid-mounted ETS system, which was constructed at Division 15’s fabrication facility and shipped as a complete package for installation in each building.
