Division 15 was awarded three projects for the Southeast False Creek Neighbourhood Energy Utility.

This multiphase project began in 2009, when Divison 15 was tasked with constructing the Energy Transfer Stations (ETS) within eleven buildings in the southeast False Creek area, to provide space and domestic hot water heating. Each building is connected to the Energy Centre (Southeast False Creek Neighbourhood Energy Utility)  through an advanced network of underground piping. Our scope of work was comprised of mechanical room and controls at each building to either supply energy to, or harvest from, individual buildings.

In 2012, Division 15 acted as the prime contractor to extend the city’s Neighbourhood Energy Utility from the Olympic Village along Quebec St. to Science World. Four Energy Transfer Stations were also constructed in new buildings along this route that are fed from the NEU.

In 2014, Division 15 installed approximately 1 kilometer of underground distribution piping system (DPS) for supply of heating water to newly constructed buildings within Southeast False Creek.
