About The Project
River district energy center is a highly innovative project, that supports a planned 130 acre master plan community for their energy needs. The permanent energy center can deliver high efficiency and sustainable energy, that can reduce greenhouse emissions up to 90%.
This 14,800 sq. ft., two-storey Public District Energy Centre was designed to use multiple renewable heat sources to supply buildings across the River District with thermal energy for both space heating and hot water. The facility produces hot water at a central plant and distributes it efficiently through a network of underground piping serving the entire River District community.
Division 15 Installed two large gas boilers (owner supplied) and interior piping complete with integrated controls and energy metering system, to provide space heating and domestic hot water to the new buildings in the River District neighbourhood of Vancouver.
