About The Project
This project is being built in pursuit of LEED® Gold certification. The new school will be constructed adjacent to the current New Westminster Secondary School, which will remain fully operational through construction. The design-build mechanical system scope of work consists of fire protection, controls, plumbing systems, natural gas distribution and HVAC systems, including high efficiency condensing boilers, heat recovery, AHUs, VAV boxes and radiators.
This project is targeting completion in Spring 2020.
The New Westminster Secondary School Replacement Project will accommodate 1,900 grade 9 to 12 students, equipped with modern learning space, parking lots, field/outdoor athletic space and flexibility for future expansion within approximately 19,800 sq m. This will be the second largest secondary school in BC.
